Renovation of an apartment in 95355 Presseck

The upstairs apartment in the two-family house (built in 1962) was renovated. Originally equipped with a tiled stove, the house was to be heated with electricity at the owners' request, so the E-NERGY CARBON FLEECE as a ceiling heating system . This allowed the apartment to remain habitable throughout the entire construction phase. A photovoltaic system was also installed to complement the overall concept.

E-ENERGY CARBON FLEECE AS ADDITIONAL HEATING

The upper floor was fitted with E-NERGY CARBON . Previously, the floor was heated exclusively by a tiled stove and is now supplemented with E-NERGY CARBON FLEECE as an additional heating source. As part of the renovation, a 10 kWp photovoltaic system with a 5 kWh storage unit was installed. The goal was to achieve greater comfort while simultaneously saving on energy costs.

Up to 30% of energy consumption can be covered by PV electricity.

Energy consumption savings and analysis

E-NERGY CARBON system averaged 1347 kWh in 2022/2023. Around 30% of this was covered by renewable energy from the PV system, meaning that only 943 kWh had to be drawn from the grid.

At the same time, the wood and coal consumption of the tiled stove was significantly reduced. This measure contributes to increased cost efficiency and also has a positive impact on saving time and effort in procuring wood and coal.
