Sustainable building future in focus: SHI product passport for ventilation and underfloor heating
Certification by the Sentinel Holding Institute at BAU and ISH 2025 underlines the environmental and health compatibility of the products
At the BAU trade fair in Munich and the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt, mfh systems received special recognition. The Sentinel Holding Institute (SHI) awarded the IDEAL PET and the AIRUNIT GEMINI the SHI Product Passport. Both products thus meet the requirements for QNG-ready and are certified as pollutant-free and compliant with leading sustainability certifications.
The official presentation of the SHI product certificates took place directly at the mfh systems . At BAU 2025, Corina Wünsche and Martin Bender (Sentinel Holding Institute GmbH) presented the certificate for the IDEAL PET to Managing Director Andreas Piephans. Just a few weeks later, at ISH 2025, the AIRUNIT GEMINI awarded the SHI product certificate – presented by Daniela Schweizer and Ralf Kärger to Managing Director Daniel Schuschan.
The SHI product passport is a central digital document verifying the health safety and environmental quality of a building product. The Sentinel Holding Institute tests, among other things, emissions and material components. The aim is to make pollutant-tested products for healthy living and working spaces visible and to measurably support the implementation of sustainable building projects.
The SHI product passport confirms the healthy living environment, eligibility for subsidies, and suitability for certification of our products. An important step towards sustainable building.

In addition to the two recently awarded systems, other mfh products are also among the SHI-certified solutions, including: AIRUNIT SOLUS 2.0, E-NERGY CARBON, IDEAL CAB, IDEAL EPS | NEO, IDEAL ÖKO , and IDEAL ÖKO ST. All products are listed in the SHI database products mfh systems are therefore also QNG-ready. This means they can be used in new construction projects with KfW funding that meet the Sustainable Building (QNG) quality seal.

The heating element is made of wood fiber. Due to its high density, the wood fiber insulation is heavier and therefore provides excellent impact sound insulation. All materials are easily separated and recyclable.
Sustainable surface heating and cooling made from straw

The system uses straw as insulation material and all materials are recyclable. The system aims to achieve high energy efficiency while adhering to ecological standards.
