SAFETEC reinforcement and decoupling membrane with a screed height of only 10 mm

mfh systems presents new flat heated floor construction for new buildings and renovation projects

The new SAFETEC reinforcement and decoupling membrane with just 10 mm thin leveling compound

The IDEAL  underfloor heating and the new SAFETEC reinforcement and decoupling membrane combine the advantages of classic screed underfloor heating with modern drywall systems. The result is ultra-modern underfloor heating that is suitable for both renovations and new buildings. It is characterized by a low installation height, low weight, low humidity, high thermal output and fast response time. You can also freely choose the floor covering.

Conventional underfloor heating consists of water-carrying heating pipes that are laid on an insulating base and embedded in a 60-70 mm thick and 120-140 kg heavy screed. Before the screed can give off its heat to the room, it must be heated up. The lower the required heating water temperatures are, the longer the heating process takes. Particularly when combined with heat pumps, whose economic efficiency requires low heating water temperatures, this creates an outdated, sluggish heating system. In addition, the weight, the construction height and the moisture of the screed of the classic construction pose challenges for planners and craftsmen in renovation projects.

Mfh systems is now presenting an innovative solution that sets standards in several respects: The heating elements, which are equipped with aluminum heat-conducting plates for rapid heat dissipation, including the glued-on reinforcement and decoupling membrane SAFETEC, only require a 10 mm thin leveling compound, which can be walked on after a few hours Can accommodate all floor coverings in a short time and is therefore ideal for quick renovations. The smooth surface of the construction is such that the thinnest design and LVT coverings can be laid directly without any further measures. In addition to the time-saving use in small and angled rooms, SAFETEC can also be installed efficiently in larger areas, as the leveling compounds that can be used are generally pumpable.

Thanks to this flat, heat-conducting structure, the heating water temperature to be generated by the heat pump can be selected to be extremely low. Due to the low mass and coverage, this does not come at the expense of comfort. The IDEAL system with SAFETEC remains a fast-reacting on-demand heating system.

Another advantage is the clear interface between the trades involved on the floor: the laying of the surface heating and the SAFETEC membrane is carried out by the SHK trades. After laying the IDEAL underfloor heating and the SAFETEC decoupling mat, the heating engineer hands over a perfectly prepared area for the application of the commercially available leveling compound by subsequent trades such as floor, parquet and tilers. The finished construction can be walked on after just a few hours and laying the floor coverings can begin after just 24 hours.
